CMAGTRES is developing novel drone-based magnetic sensor systems and related detection and characterization software to improve (magnetic) detection of UXO from mainly WWI and WWII in relation to offshore wind farms. Often UXO consist of ferrous material that creates a fairly strong (but very local) magnetic signal. Mapping this signal precisely and effectively using traditional platforms is difficult in areas like tidal flats or swamps. By developing drone-based hardware and software systems, we help our partners lowering the price of e.g. offshore wind energy. For more information, see
